I have this dressing table in my house,
It’s cute and serves a purpose.
But the there’s a problem with it,
And I’ve known about the problem for a while.
Whenever I use the mirror,
I get a distorted image of myself,
Yea, it’s bad for boosting confidence on most days?
So I’ll confirm how I really look like using another, more accurate mirror in the house.
This got me thinking,
In this life, we have people and methods that we use to self-evaluate and in turn grow.
Some we allow in our lives on purpose,
Like my mirror,
And some we have no choice over, like family.
But they all serve the purpose of reflecting back to us how we look like.
So the question is, what types of mirrors are in your life?
And what type of reflection are they projecting back to you?
The distorted kind making you insecure and self-loathe?
Or the kind showing you an accurate reflection of your state,
In turn inspiring you to make an effort to grow into who you really are?
The Word is like that accurate mirror,
Use it to get a true reflection of yourself,
And gauge all the other mirrors in your life with it.
